Clarified Restaurant Management

Cook off
the clutter.

Ghee puts checklists, counts, prep, ordering and your live numbers in one place your team uses during the shift, not after it. Built by a restaurant owner, on a real line, over years of service.

The problem

Clutter disguised as productivity

Every restaurant has tried to get organized. A new spreadsheet. A fresh round of laminates. Another app with another login. It works for a week, then the line gets busy and everyone goes back to what they know.

The tools weren't the problem. They just lived next to the work instead of inside it. A checklist on a clipboard doesn't know what's under par. An inventory spreadsheet doesn't know what the vendor charged last Tuesday. Your P&L shows up a month after the shift that caused it.

Ghee is built the other way around. The count your team does at close sets tomorrow's prep list. The order you place updates the cost of every dish that uses it. The numbers are there while there's still time to act on them.

The product

Two sides of the house.
One system.

Your team sees what they need to run the shift. Managers see what it's costing, as it happens. It's the same data, so nobody enters anything twice.

On the line

For your team

Checklists that prove themselves

Opening, line check, close. Steps can require a photo, and managers see who's done what in real time.

Counts that walk the shelves

Inventory is laid out in the order your walk-in and dry storage are, with a photo of what one unit looks like.

Prep list from real pars

Tonight's count sets tomorrow's prep. Each item links to its recipe and a photo of the finished product.

Receiving against the order

Check the truck against what was ordered, line by line, and flag what's short.

Recipes and handbook at the station

Your procedures on the phone in their pocket, searchable, and easy to flag when something's unclear.

PIN login on any phone

No app store, no passwords to forget. Staff sign in with a four-digit PIN and see only their side.

In the office

For managers & owners

Prime cost while the shift is running

Sales and labor from your POS, food cost from your orders. See where the day is heading before it's over.

Menu costing that keeps up

Build each dish from its recipe. When a vendor's price changes, every plate that uses it updates, along with a suggested menu price.

One order list, sorted by vendor

What's under par, how much to order, and how to reach each vendor, next to your weekly COGS budget.

Bank and payroll, reconciled

Bank transactions and payroll runs come in on their own and are matched up, so the real numbers are always a tap away.

Shift reports and team reviews

End-of-shift notes, cash drop, and reviews tied to the procedure they're about, so feedback leads somewhere.

How it connects

One count moves everything

In most restaurants these are six separate jobs in six separate places. In Ghee, each step feeds the next.

  1. CountClosing crew counts by shelf.
  2. PrepWhat's under par becomes tomorrow's prep list.
  3. OrderRaw items below par land on the order list, by vendor.
  4. ReceiveThe delivery is checked against the order.
  5. CostNew prices flow into every recipe and dish.
  6. Prime costCOGS and labor meet sales, live.

Integrations

Plugs into what you already run

Ghee doesn't ask you to switch POS or payroll. It reads from the systems you already use, and it never moves money or changes anything in them.

Live now

Toast POS

Sales, labor and tips, updated within minutes.

Your bank

Transactions and balances through Plaid, read-only.

Payroll reports

Upload your payroll register after each payday; Ghee matches it to the bank.

On the roadmap

More POS systems

The major point-of-sale platforms, so Ghee works wherever you ring in.

Scheduling

Scheduled vs. actual labor, from the scheduling app you already use.

Accounting

Clean weekly numbers, ready for your bookkeeper.

Through years of working at, managing, and eventually owning Remedy House, I was always looking for ways to improve how we worked. We built spreadsheet after spreadsheet. We printed laminate after laminate. We tried app after app.

It always ended the same way. Nothing stuck, because none of it was part of the work actually getting done. It was clutter disguised as productivity.

I needed a tool that was easy to find your way around, that became part of the work itself, and that kept everything in one place. After years of iterations, that tool is Ghee. It clarifies every part of our operation, and now it can do the same for yours.

Founding restaurants

Get in on the ground floor

We're opening Ghee to a small group of independent restaurants with one location or a few. You help shape what we build next, and we help you grow from one location to many.

  1. Apply

Tell us about your restaurant. It takes about two minutes.

  2. Pick a time

You’ll go straight to our calendar to book your walkthrough call.

  3. Load a few basics

Before the call, add some everyday data to a ready-made setup: inventory items, a few menu items, your vendors. Nothing sensitive. On the call, we show you your own restaurant running in Ghee.

Questions

Before you apply

Who is Ghee for?

Independent restaurants with one location or a few, run by people who want their systems to keep up as they grow. If you've ever rebuilt the same inventory spreadsheet twice, it's for you.

Do I need Toast?

Toast is connected today. If you're on another POS, apply anyway. Founding restaurants help decide which integrations we build next, and the kitchen side of Ghee works with any POS.

What data do you need from me to start?

Just the basics: some inventory items, a few menu items and your vendors. No bank or payroll logins to get your walkthrough. Those connections come later, when you decide to move your team onto Ghee.

How much does it cost?

Founding restaurants get a founding price that stays locked in as long as you're with us. We'll go over it on your call.

Does my team need to download an app?

No. Ghee runs in the browser on the phones your team already has. Add it to the home screen and it works like an app, with a four-digit PIN to sign in.

Is my data safe?

Connections to your POS and bank are read-only, so Ghee can't move money or change anything. Bank access is encrypted and never stored alongside your everyday data, and team members only see the screens for their role.
